I do not aspire to be the best. Why? Because when you are the best there is no one to better. No challenge, no thrill of the hunt or uncertainty, because you are the best, there is no one who can stand before you and live. Being the best is when a game stops being a game and becomes a job. A job to maintain your position at the top, not because it is fun or because you enjoy it but because you are the best and must prove it.
But what happens when you are dethroned? You seek revenge, you seek to prove once more you are the best and not your rival. But is it revenge? Or is it what you have desired, the hunt, the challenge you've so longed for, the uncertainty of whether you'll be able to best your opponent and make it out alive. I will never be the best in EVE and I'm proud of it.
